Youth Poetry Contest

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) is celebrating its 2nd annual Season of Civil Rights, with a series of events during the months of December, January and February to build awareness about the significance that transit played in the American Civil Rights Movement.

One of the events is a poetry contest. Elementary school-age children in grades K-8 who attend a school within RT’s service area are invited to submit a poem, 10 lines or less, that is original and relates to the theme of transit and civil rights.
