REGIONAL TRANSIT WILL TRANSPORT ALL MARCHERS

Regtional-Transit-LogoBus Service for Annual March on January 18, 2010

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (RT) will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 18, 2009.  For those wanting to leave their car at the Sacramento Convention Center before the march, You can park at or near the Convention Center to board a light rail train at Cathedral Square (10th & K Street) or the 12th & I station and ride the light rail train to Sacramento City College. RT will offer supplemental bus service from the Convention Center back to the Oak Park Community Center, Sacramento City College and Grant Union High School beginning at 1 p.m.

In accord with the Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration on January 18, 2010, the City of Sacramento will suspend parking enforcement from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on J and L Street from 10th to 15th Street, as well 10th through 15th Street from I to L Street.
